Trusted since 2002 to deliver affordable, timely and reliable legal training

This webinar is useful for -

Financial remedy lawyers

Sally and Yasmin will discuss the interplay of the sharing and needs principles and the increasing significance of non-matrimonial property. They will recap on Court of Appeal and other judicial guidance from Hart to date before looking at some key areas for practitioners on the ground including “mingling”, deferred/illiquid assets, pensions and post-separation accrual.

Whichever side you are on, be it contributor of non-matrimonial property or claimant seeking to invade non-matrimonial property, this seminar will provide an update on all the latest cases (including those listed below) but also practical guidance on early advice to clients, when / how to address these issues in Form E and what evidence to provide in support.

Sally and Yasmin will talk through all the points above with a guest or two and in the process will try to address the points most of concern to those at the coal face of litigation. With that in mind, attendees are invited to send in their questions in advance, whether points of principle or quick practical queries.

Key cases covered:

     a     Hart v Hart [2017] EWCA Civ 1306

     b     Sharp v Sharp [2017] EWCA Civ 408
