Webinar Recorded 31st March
CPD = 1 Hour
SRA, A, B
Presented by Brooke Lyne and Mirian Seitler, Landmark Chambers
On 18 March the government announced that it would be passing emergency legislation to suspend evictions and ban new possession proceedings in light of the crisis caused by coronavirus. Since then, guidance has been issued by the Lord Chief Justice suggesting that block possession lists (for existing cases) are “inappropriate” at this time.
Miriam Seitler and Brooke Lyne are both specialist property barristers who will be discussing the developing situation. The webinar will cover:
- What is the government proposing?
- What these provisions are likely to mean in the short, medium and
long term for landlords and tenants.
- What guidance has been given about the conduct of hearings?
- What is actually happening on the ground.
